Students began this project with a self-evaluation, making notes about their perceived qualities, interests, and personalities—they then connected these ideas to potential visual symbols. Finally, multiple symbolic elements were chosen from this self study, and synthesized into a single vector graphic. The software focus here was Adobe Illustrator. The image trace function was constrained—it could only be used for textural overlays, or to convert hand-drawn line art for later coloring.
